WHAT WE DO
Since 1992, our Milan-based studio has been designing and creating bespoke scenic environments. During the concept development phase, we present hand-painted colour sketches and scale cardboard maquettes, allowing clients to evaluate and discuss each proposal before the final production stage.
As artists and craftsmen specialising in decorative arts and interior finishes, we have been offering extensive expertise for more than twenty years, guiding each project from the initial concept through to its final execution.
The style of Larghevedute’s paintings draws inspiration from the decorative arts and painting traditions of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Each artwork is a unique and exclusive piece, hand-painted on specially prepared natural cotton canvas using traditional painting techniques.
The works created in our atelier are subsequently applied to walls, ceilings, doors and furniture.
Our range includes a wide selection of decorative finishes such as glazes, cloud effects and trompe l’oeil imitation materials, designed to create refined and elegant interiors.
At the heart of every project is the client, their personal taste and their unique, individual style.
THE ADVANTAGES OF PAINTINGS ON CANVAS
Large Dimensions
Thanks to the use of handcrafted natural cotton canvas, it is possible to create and install large-scale paintings on walls and ceilings up to approximately 6 by 4 metres, executed on a single piece of canvas.
Easy Transportation
The artisanal preparation of the canvas allows it to be folded and rolled, making transportation simple and practical. Once installed, any folds or creases disappear completely.
Relocatable
Should the client move or renovate their interiors, the artwork can be removed and reinstalled in a different location without losing the painting itself.
Durability and Reliability
The natural pigments and binders used provide excellent colour stability over time. Thanks to the particular weave and preparation of the canvas, the finished artwork is highly durable and resistant.

OUR TECHNIQUE
The technique we use originates from the tradition of scenic painting. When creating large-scale canvases, the fabric is stretched and fixed directly to the floor, allowing the artist to work while moving across its surface and applying successive layers of translucent, watercolour-like washes.
Once completed in the atelier, the artwork is prêt-à-porter – ready to be transported and installed on the chosen surface in the same way as a traditional wallpaper.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
In the development of each project and the creation of scenic elements, the studio employs techniques derived from theatrical set design. Technical drawings are supported by hand-painted colour sketches and scale cardboard maquettes, allowing every detail of the project to be carefully planned and visualised before production.
INSTALLATION
Once completed, the canvas is installed on walls or ceilings in the same way as a traditional wallpaper, with the added advantage that it can later be removed and reinstalled in a different location if required. Should we not carry out the installation ourselves, we strongly recommend using professional installers experienced in wallpaper and textile wall coverings. After your order has been confirmed, we will provide detailed installation instructions. Please note that the materials remain under our responsibility until delivery to the client. Our company cannot be held liable for additional costs or damages resulting from incorrect installation.
